Mathematics Core
Choose one of the following math tracks:
Students must choose one of the following 9 credit math tracks to complete the mathematics minor:
- General Math Track
- Applied Math Track
Option 1: General Math Track
Complete the following courses (9 credits):
MATH 314 | History of Mathematics | 3.00 |
| Upper Division MATH or Upper Division STAT elective | 3.00 |
| Upper Division MATH or Upper Division STAT elective | 3.00 |
Option 2: Applied Math Track
Please note, students majoring in a Bachelor of Science in Data Science who wish to minor in Mathematics (Applied Math Track) must have at least 9 unique credits to the minor and cannot course overlap to major requirements and minor. For more details about unique credits, please see the AE 15.2 policy at https://nevadastate.edu/policy/current/multiple-majors-degrees/.
Students must plan to take MATH 283 in lieu of MATH 181 and/or take MATH 430 in lieu of MATH 330.
