Placement

The department may approve and facilitate a placement exam, which advances qualified students to classes appropriate to skill level but does not grant credit for waived classes. Students placing out of classes will be required complete 18 total credits, selecting from the following list to make up the balance of credits not filled by the language courses listed above if not used for Option: ENG 292 Introduction to Chicano Literature; ENG 293 Latin American Literature; ETS 375 US Latino/a - Chicano/a Experience; HIST 320 Hispanic Culture in the US; HIST 444 Latinos in the American West; HIST 470 History of Mexico.
