Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, the Elementary Education Candidates will be able to:
- Differentiate learner development to create developmentally appropriate learning experiences from a culturally responsive lens that address individual strengths and needs of all students. (InTASC Standard(s): 1, 2, 7, and 8)
- Interpret formative and summative applications of assessment when planning and selecting instructional strategies. (InTASC Standard(s): 6, 7, and 8)
- Connect academic language and knowledge of content standards and learning progressions when planning and selecting instructional strategies while connecting content to real word application and interdisciplinary themes. (InTASC Standard(s): 4, 5,7, and 8)
- Reflect on personal identity, worldview, and prior experiences and recognize how they may bias behaviors and interactions with others. (InTASC: 9 and 10)
- Create learning environments that support individual and collaborate learning, encourage positive social interaction and active engagement in learning while fostering an asset mindset. (InTASC: 1, 2, 3, and 5)
- Participate in ongoing professional learning that promotes ethical practice, community-based practices, and critical reflection. (InTASC: 9 and 10)
