Early Childhood & Early Childhood Special Education, B.A. in Education

This dual degree program provides students with the education, training, and hands-on experiences that best prepare them to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds. This major prepares students to work as advocates for young children, birth - age 8, in various community positions such as mental health agencies, developmental programs, family resource programs, childcare resources and referral agencies, child care center or preschool programs, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first and second grade classrooms, both public and private, education administrator, preschool director, Head Start and Early Head Start programs as well as to prepare students to pursue advanced degrees in education or other fields.
