SPP 712 Cultural Ecological Model in School Psychology
This course will help school psychology professionals in school-wide educational settings (as well as other settings) to have a knowledge base for working more effectively with children and adults of varying cultural backgrounds. The course will provide students with the opportunity to develop a multicultural awareness as they explore the impact of an increasingly diverse society in the United States and student learning. Emphasis will be placed on gaining self-awareness around issues of cultural diversity as well as expanding one¿s knowledge base in the area. Also, translating awareness of cultural diversity through ethical practices at all levels of the cultural-ecological model will be emphasized.
