NURS 421 Pharmacology II

Correlates general principles of pharmacotherapeutic agents as they relate to safe, quality, patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care of individuals across the life span, with a continued focus on the nursing process, safe administration, and patient teaching. Proper dosage and calculations with the different routes of administration will continue. This course will build on major pharmacologic concepts related to selected systems learned from Pharmacology I. Using these concepts, critical thinking will continue to develop as a basis for nursing practice for safe administration. Full-time - Pre-requisite(s): Admission to the nursing program.
