EDU 345 School-Based Mental Health Field Experience
This course contextualizes learned knowledge through school-based mental health field placement(s). Practicing school psychologists, school counselors, and/or school social workers will facilitate experiences relative to the behavioral and emotional impacts on learning along with evaluation tools, intervention opportunities, and progress monitoring techniques available to practitioners in the field. Evidence-based strategies to promote learning and functioning within a multi-tiered system of support framework and a cultural-ecological lens will be discussed and analyzed in seminar sessions. Pre-requisite(s): EDU 221
