Interstate Passport

The Interstate Passport at Nevada State helps students transfer both to and from Nevada State with greater ease and more efficiency. In this program, all participating colleges agree on learning outcomes, such as "oral communication" and "qualitative literacy." Each college determines how students will satisfy these outcomes, which typically requires completing a class or a series of classes. For example, at Nevada State, taking COM 101 satisfies our "Oral Communication" outcome in the Passport program. Once students complete all the outcomes, they earn a completed passport, which transfers easily to any other college in our consortium. This makes transfer easier and allows students to enter a new college with their general education requirements completed. All students are eligible for the program, although they must earn a C (not C-) or better in the approved courses to meet a Passport requirement.
