Prior Learning Credits: To avoid repetition of coursework as the RN student transitions to BSN completion, recognition is given for prior nursing coursework in the regionally accredited ADN, AS or Diploma nursing program and satisfactory completion of the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. Thus, students in the RN to BSN program receive a block transfer of 38 nursing credits which are automatically counted as in-residence upper division courses and 4-year college course credits even though these courses were not taken at NSC.  These credits will be applied to the student’s transcript after successful completion of NURS 409 Theory of Caring Science.
