The application of Gen Ed block credits as well as NURS prior learning credits is subject to transcript review in these instances.
Statistics Requirement: Effective Fall 2019, PSY 210 (or equivalent) will no longer fulfill the post-licensure statistics requirement. Students who are admitted to NSU for the Fall 2019 semester and beyond will be required to complete NURS 330.
Prior Learning Credits: To avoid repetition of coursework as the RN student transitions to BSN completion, recognition is given for prior nursing coursework from an accredited ADN, AS or Diploma nursing program and satisfactory completion of the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. Thus, students in the RN to BSN program receive a block transfer of 37 nursing credits which are automatically counted as upper division courses and 4-year college course credits even though these courses were not taken at NSU. These credits will be applied to the student’s transcript after successful completion of all RN to BSN requirements.
