NURS 520 Scholarly Inquiry, Applied Biostatistics, and Epidemiology
This course, designed for the MSN student, prepares the specialty practice nurse to examine advanced concepts of scholarly inquiry, nursing theories and research methodologies that result in evidence-based contributions to nursing science. With full consideration of the value of inter-disciplinary collaboration, this course also explores the value of the epidemiological systems-thinking and data rich contribution to public health which, much like nursing science, is informed by biostatistical research. Students apply epidemiological and biostatistical concepts as a guide for evidence-based practices in healthcare settings.
