Spanish Minor
The curriculum includes a wide range of classes that cover:
- Elementary, intermediate, and advanced language skills
- Cultural knowledge and understanding
- Literature in Spanish
As you progress in these classes, you'll develop cultural, literary, and linguistic competence. In addition, the program will equip you with the skills you need to pursue a higher degree or career in Spanish.

Placement or Credit by Exam
The department may approve and facilitate placement exam or credit by exam. A placement exam advances qualified students to classes appropriate to skill level, but does not grant credit for waived classes. Students placing out of classes will be required to complete 18 total credits, by selecting from the list of elective courses above.
