Admissions Information

Nevada State University (Nevada State) admits students to fulfill the mission for which the University was founded – namely, to provide access to the baccalaureate degree for Nevada’s citizens in accordance with the direction provided by the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents (NSHE).

Nevada State recognizes that a student body that is diverse with respect to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class background, and geography, among other dimensions of cultural difference, benefits and enriches the educational experiences of all students, faculty, and staff. To that end, Nevada State strives to recruit students who will further enrich this diversity and to support their academic and personal success while they are a part of our campus community. The presence and achievement of racial and ethnic minority students at Nevada State not only benefits these students individually, it enhances the educational and interpersonal experiences of everyone in our campus community.

All new students must furnish satisfactory evidence of good moral character as evidenced by a certificate of graduation or of honorable dismissal from the school last attended. All applicants for admission shall complete such tests and furnish such information as required by the regulations published in the institutional catalog governing the semester of initial enrollment.
