COU 497 Supervised Field Experience

Supervised internship serving as a capstone for counseling minors. Students complete 140 hours at an approved practicum site—10 hours/week during Fall or Spring or 12 hours/week during Summer. Students must apply and secure placement at approved sites focused on the treatment of addictions. Students also attend class weekly to build skills in applying individual, group, assessment, intake, treatment, and case management functions. Course offered in-person only.

Pre-requisite(s): COU 322, COU 427, and COU 430.
