Transfer students that submit transcripts that indicate in progress work will be admitted to the institution conditionally if they meet the GPA requirement. To clear conditional admission status, a final transcript must be submitted to the Admissions & Recruitment Office as soon as it is available. Failure to submit the final transcript will automatically place a hold on the student account and will prevent enrollment in future semesters. If the student did not attend the college/university requested a transcript from, the student is required to submit a letter from the college/university Registrar's Office indicating that they did not enroll in classes at said institution. The hold will remain on the students account until all official transcripts/letters are submitted to Nevada State.

Applicants who completed an Associate of Business (A.B.), Associate of Art (A.A.), or Associate of Science (A.S.) from a NSHE institution will be admitted to NS regardless of the cumulative grade point average. Transfer Agreement

Transfer agreements are approved agreements between Nevada State University (NS) and the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) community colleges. These agreements enable students to complete their associate (AA, AB, or AS) degree that seamlessly leads to their corresponding baccalaureate at Nevada State.

Transfer agreements include a year-by-year outline of course requirements, including general education and degree requirements, in which the course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree includes the first two years coursework that will result in completion of an associate (AA, AB, or AS) degree.

For further explanation on how the transfer agreements work, please review the NSHE Student Transfer Rights and Responsibilities page.
