MSN - Leadership (ADN-MSN Pathway)

ADN to MSN Pathway

  • Students must have an earned Associates in Nursing and an earned Bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field from an institution recognized by the Department of Education, and a professionally accredited nursing program. (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [CCNE], Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing [ACEN], National League for Nursing [NLN] Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation [CNEA]) or approved equivalent.)
  • Official transcripts sent directly to the Office of Admissions (conditional admission may occur pending receipt of transcripts).
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the applicant's state of residence. The license must be maintained and unencumbered throughout the course of the degree pathway.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (conditional admission available for GPAs below 3.0)
  • Copy of government issued identification.
  • A personal statement outlining career goals and how the MSN Leadership program aligns with them.
  • Current Resume
  • Must have practiced as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of one calendar year prior to beginning MSN-Leadership coursework (preferred but not required for conditional admission).
  • ADN-MSN Pathway students will be required to take an online Statistics for Nursing, Scholarly inquiry in Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Nursing Leadership course at the RN-BSN level, and receive a grade of "B" or above in each.
