CHEM 431 Advanced Inorganic Chemistry

The Advanced Inorganic Chemistry course focuses on the unique chemistry of metallic elements. The course will build on the basics of coordination chemistry learned in General Chemistry and explore the properties of d-orbitals. Students emerging from this course will have an understanding of what types of reactions are made possible by metallic elements and the fundamental properties therein that enable such unique chemistry. Pre-requisite(s): CHEM 242 with a C- or better.
