CHEM 306 Introductions to Scientific Ethics

The purpose of this course is to engage students in reading about, considering, and discussing the responsible conduct of science. Students gain an understanding of the rules, issues, options, and resources for research ethics and the purpose and value of ethical decision-making. Topics include but are not limited to: falsification and fabrication of data, plagiarism, animal testing, human subjects and stem cells. S/U grading. Cross-listed with BIOL 306. (Formerly CHEM 205)
