PSY 453 Psychology of Anxiety Disorders
This course will explore the psychological processes, clinical presentations, and precipitating factors associated with anxiety disorders, such as panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and specific phobias. We will also examine and evaluate the current research on the maintenance and exacerbation factors, methods of assessment, and treatment issues and processes of anxiety disorders. Pre-requisite(s): Psychology Majors: PSY 101, PSY 240; Other Majors: PSY 101, Junior status. Recommended Pre-requisite(s): PSY 341; PSY 210 or other statistics course.
