BIOL 351 Microbiology

This microbiology course provides in-depth coverage of prokaryotic cell structure, function, genetics, diversity, ecology, and pathogenesis, with an emphasis on microbial metabolism, bacterial genetics and molecular mechanisms. Other microbes (such as protozoa, viruses and fungi) will also be discussed and applications of microbiology to medicine and environmental science will be explored. Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 196, BIOL 197, CHEM 121, and MATH 126; $35 lab fee.
