SPA 660 Advanced Speech Sound Disorders

SPA 660 is designed to expand student's knowledge of phonological development, disorders, and treatments. The course provides opportunities to compare and contrast disorders of phonology with disorders of articulation. Assessment and treatment methods are covered in depth and students are provided with theoretical and clinical information to hone their skills in working with children exhibiting these language-based speech sound disorders. Pre-requisite(s): Must be an admitted, degree-seeking student in the MEd in Speech Language Pathology, or permission of Program Director for special considerations.
