Academic Recognition
Dean's List
Degree-seeking students who have completed 12 or more graded (A-F) credits in an academic semester and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better are placed on the dean's list. Remedial credits will not count towards the 12 credit completion.
Latin Honors
Students are eligible to receive honors at the time of graduation if:
- at least half of the required graded (A-F) degree credits have been completed at Nevada State College, and
- have a NSC grade point average of at least 3.5.
Students in programs where S/U grades are mandatory for required courses will not be eligible for honors if fewer than 48 graded (A-F) credits have been completed at NSC.
Graduation honors are designated as follows:

Cum Laude - 3.50 to 3.69, at least half of required credits completed at NSC

Magna Cum Laude - 3.70 to 3.89, at least half of required credits completed at NSC

Summa Cum Laude - 3.90 to 4.0, at least half of required credits completed at NSC
